The Tiger Neo III is built around JinkoSolar's enhanced N-Type TOPCon platform.
According to JinkoSolar, the combination of advanced cell technology and an optimised module layout allows the panel to capture more sunlight and achieve a higher front-side power class.
With 475W of rated output and 23.77% module efficiency, the JKM475N-48QL6-DB provides substantial power from a relatively compact module footprint.
The 48QL6-DB is specifically designed as an all-black mono-facial module with dual-glass construction.
Its dark, uniform appearance creates a clean and modern finish across the solar array, making it an excellent option for residential properties where the appearance of the panels is an important consideration.
The all-black design is particularly attractive on dark tile, Colorbond and contemporary roof finishes.
The Tiger Neo III has been engineered to perform effectively under varying sunlight conditions.
JinkoSolar states that its enhanced cell structure provides superior module performance under low-light conditions.
This makes the panel well suited to real-world conditions where solar irradiance changes throughout the day due to cloud cover, morning and afternoon light or seasonal conditions.
High module temperatures can reduce solar panel output, making temperature performance particularly important in Australian conditions.
The Tiger Neo III has a Pmax temperature coefficient of -0.26%/Β°C, helping minimise the reduction in output as cell temperatures increase.
Temperature coefficients:
Pmax: -0.26%/Β°C
Voc: -0.24%/Β°C
Isc: +0.046%/Β°C
The specified operating temperature range is -40Β°C to +70Β°C. The datasheet also notes short-term operation up to 85Β°C, subject to the specified testing requirements.
The Tiger Neo III uses a durable glass-glass module construction rather than a conventional glass and backsheet design.
The module features 2.0mm anti-reflection coated front glass combined with 2.0mm heat-strengthened rear glass.
Its mechanical construction includes:
N-Type mono-crystalline cells
192 cells (48 Γ 4)
2.0mm anti-reflection coated front glass
2.0mm heat-strengthened rear glass
Anodised aluminium alloy frame
IP68-rated junction box
Class II protection
IEC Fire Type Class C
Jinko or StΓ€ubli connector options
At only 1762 Γ 1134 Γ 30mm, the Tiger Neo III provides 475W of output in a compact residential-sized module.
The combination of 475W output and 23.77% efficiency makes it particularly useful for properties where available roof area is limited and the objective is to maximise installed solar capacity.
