The LONGi EcoLife X10 LR7-54HVB-475M 475W is a high-efficiency N-type single-glass solar panel designed for premium residential installations. It combines HPBC 2.0 back-contact cell technology with a 108-cell design to deliver 475W output and 23.3% module efficiency.
Featuring 3.2 mm coated tempered glass, a black anodised aluminium frame and a pure black gridless appearance, the LR7-54HVB-475M combines high power density, durability and clean rooftop aesthetics.
The LR7-54HVB-475M delivers 475W of rated output with 23.3% module efficiency under standard test conditions.
This high efficiency allows more generation capacity to be installed within a given roof area, making the module particularly suitable for residential installations where usable roof space may be limited.
LONGi identifies high power generation under the same installation area as one of the principal advantages of its HPBC 2.0 technology.
| Model | Rated Power | Module Efficiency |
|---|---|---|
| LR7-54HVB-475M | 475W | 23.3% |
| LR7-54HVB-480M | 480W | 23.5% |
| LR7-54HVB-485M | 485W | 23.8% |
| LR7-54HVB-490M | 490W | 24.0% |
| LR7-54HVB-495M | 495W | 24.3% |
These values are specified under STC conditions of AM1.5, 1000 W/mΒ² irradiance and 25Β°C cell temperature.
The LONGi EcoLife X10 LR7-54HVB series uses HPBC 2.0 back-contact cell technology.
Back-contact architecture moves the electrical contacts away from the visible front surface of the cells. This contributes to the moduleβs clean gridless appearance while allowing more of the front cell area to remain available for light absorption.
LONGi highlights HPBC 2.0 as a key reason for the seriesβ high power generation, describing the technology as capable of providing more generation under the same module area.
For customers comparing premium residential solar modules, the LR7-54HVB-475M combines:Β N-type technology + HPBC 2.0 + high module efficiency + single-glass construction + pure black aesthetics.
Partial shading can affect the performance of photovoltaic modules when objects such as trees, roof structures, antennas or surrounding buildings block part of the solar panel.
LONGi specifically identifies anti-shading performance and prevention of localised overheating as safety features of the EcoLife X10 series.
This design focus is particularly relevant for residential rooftop systems, where modules can experience varying shading conditions throughout the day.
LONGi identifies the BC-cell design used in the LR7-54HVB series as having lower operating temperature characteristics.
Lower cell operating temperatures can be beneficial because solar module power output generally declines as cell temperature rises.
The datasheet specifies a Pmax temperature coefficient of:Β -0.260%/Β°C
This means the moduleβs maximum power output decreases by approximately 0.260% for every 1Β°C increase in cell temperature above the reference test condition.
Long-term degradation is an important consideration when evaluating solar panel lifetime performance.
LONGi specifies:
First-year degradation: less than 1%
Annual degradation from years 2β30: 0.35%
Guaranteed power after 30 years: 88.85%
The power warranty chart on page 2 of the datasheet shows the module retaining 88.85% of its rated power at year 30.
This degradation profile helps the LR7-54HVB-475M maintain a high proportion of its original output over decades of operation.
The LR7-54HVB-475M uses a single-glass module structure with:
Front glass: 3.2 mm coated tempered glass
Frame: black anodised aluminium alloy
The 3.2 mm front glass also contributes to the moduleβs hail resistance, with LONGi specifically highlighting higher hail resistance as one of the features of the EcoLife X10 series.
Compared with the dual-glass LR7-54HVD version, the LR7-54HVB has a lower module weight of 21.6 kg while maintaining the same 1800 Γ 1134 mm footprint.
Appearance is an important consideration for premium residential rooftop installations.
LONGi describes the EcoLife X10 series as having a βPure Black Appearanceβ with no gridlines and low glare.
The back-contact cell architecture removes conventional front-side electrical gridlines from view, producing a cleaner and more uniform surface.
Combined with the black anodised aluminium frame, the LR7-54HVB-475M provides a modern all-black look designed to integrate well with contemporary residential roofs.
LONGi positions the series as a first choice for high-end residential applications.
The LONGi LR7-54HVB-475M is engineered to withstand substantial mechanical loading.
Front side: 5400 Pa
Rear side: 2400 Pa
The datasheet also specifies successful hail testing using:Β 25 mm hailstones travelling at 23 m/s .Β These specifications are important for rooftop solar modules that may be exposed to wind, snow, hail and other environmental stresses during their service life.
The LR7-54HVB series has a nominal operating cell temperature of:Β 45 Β±2Β°C
