The SolaX X1-HYBRID-5.0-D is a high-performance 5kW single-phase hybrid inverter designed for residential solar and battery storage systems. Part of the advanced SolaX X1-HYBRID G4 range, it combines solar generation, high-voltage battery management, intelligent energy control and EPS backup functionality within one compact system.
Designed for homes looking to maximise solar self-consumption and reduce reliance on the electricity grid, the X1-HYBRID-5.0-D can intelligently manage power between your solar panels, battery, household loads and the electricity grid.
With support for up to 200% PV oversizing, the 5kW model can accommodate a recommended solar array of up to 10kWp, making it particularly useful for homes wanting a larger solar array while retaining a 5kW inverter.
The X1-HYBRID G4 has been designed to work with modern high-power solar modules, supporting up to 16A DC input current per MPPT.
The 5kW model features two independent MPPT trackers, allowing two separate solar strings or roof orientations to be managed independently.
A low 90V start-up voltage also allows the inverter to begin producing power earlier when sufficient solar voltage becomes available.
PV specifications include:
The X1-HYBRID-5.0-D is designed for integration with compatible high-voltage lithium battery storage systems.
It supports a wide 80–480V battery voltage range and provides up to 30A maximum battery charge and discharge current.
This allows surplus solar energy generated during the day to be stored for use later in the evening, overnight or during periods of high electricity pricing.
When installed with a compatible battery and correctly configured backup system, the inverter's EPS output can provide backup electricity during a grid outage.
The 5kW model provides:
The additional short-duration peak capacity is useful when connected equipment has higher start-up power requirements.
The X1-HYBRID G4 incorporates advanced energy-management functionality designed to optimise how solar and stored battery energy are used throughout the home.
Features include:
These capabilities allow the inverter to form the centre of a more intelligent home energy ecosystem.
The X1-HYBRID G4 achieves maximum inverter efficiency of up to 97.6% and European efficiency of 97.0%.
SolaX also specifies charging and discharging efficiency of up to 97%, helping minimise energy losses when storing and retrieving energy from the battery.
With an IP65 ingress-protection rating, the inverter is designed for demanding residential installations.
It has a specified operating temperature range of -35°C to 60°C, with derating above 45°C, and a maximum operating altitude of 3,000 metres.
The X1-HYBRID G4 incorporates multiple protection functions including:
The range includes certification to AS/NZS 4777 along with a range of international standards.

All our products are covered by the Manufacturer's Warranty, which guarantees that they will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service. The specific terms and duration of the warranty may vary depending on the product and the manufacturer. Please refer to the product's documentation or contact our customer support team for detailed warranty information.
Warranty Claim Process
In the unfortunate event that you encounter a faulty product, we want to make the warranty claim process as seamless as possible for you. To initiate a warranty claim, please follow these steps:
If damage is confirmed to be from normal wear-and-tear, drops, unauthorized repairs, or other non-warranty factors, service and shipping fees will apply. In such cases, we will contact the customer for approval before proceeding with paid repairs.
Unfortunately we cannot provide loaner units during the warranty repair process. For mission-critical equipment, we highly recommend purchasing backup units to prevent downtime in case of defects.
You have 30 calendar days to return an item from the date you received it.
To be eligible for a return:
Upon receiving your order, we kindly request that you thoroughly inspect all packages within 7 days of delivery. This inspection period is crucial as it allows you ample time to identify any visible damage caused during transit. Please keep in mind that promptly reporting any freight damage is vital in safeguarding your right to file a claim and ensuring a swift resolution.
Should you identify any freight damage during the inspection, we urge you to notify us immediately. Our customer support team is ready to assist you through the claim filing process and provide the necessary guidance to ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience.
The advertised price for this product includes the applicable STC battery rebate, applied as a pre-discount at the time of purchase.
To be eligible for the battery rebate:
Supply-only purchases are not eligible for the battery rebate.
By proceeding with this purchase, the customer agrees to assign all eligible Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs) associated with the battery installation to Solar Battery Supermarket (or its nominated agent).
This assignment allows the rebate to be applied as a point-of-sale discount.
If the customer does not agree to assign the STCs, the full non-rebated price of the battery system will apply.
Installation by a licensed and accredited installer is mandatory to qualify for the rebate-adjusted price.
Standard metro installation is available from $500, subject to property assessment.
Additional works (including switchboard upgrades, long cable runs, or non-standard installations) may incur extra charges and will be quoted and approved prior to installation.
To assess eligibility and proceed with installation, the customer may be required to provide:
Failure to provide required information may delay installation or affect rebate eligibility.
This rebate offer does not limit your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
