The SolaX X1-VAST-10K is the largest model in the X1-VAST single-phase hybrid inverter range, designed for high-demand residential solar and battery systems requiring substantial solar input, powerful battery charging and whole-home backup capability.
With 9.999kVA rated output for Australia, support for up to 20kWp of solar panels, four independent MPPT trackers, dual high-voltage battery ports and <10ms EPS switchover, the X1-VAST-10K provides a powerful platform for large residential energy systems.
SolaX also positions the X1-VAST platform for generator and microgrid integration, with V2G/V2H-ready architecture for future smart home and EV energy integration.
For the Australian market, the X1-VAST-10K has a rated AC output of 9.999kVA with a rated output current of 43.5A.
This makes it particularly suitable for larger single-phase homes with substantial solar generation, battery storage, EV charging and higher household electricity requirements.
The X1-VAST-10K supports a recommended maximum PV array capacity of 20kWp β equivalent to 200% PV oversizing relative to its nominal 10kW capacity.
This allows significantly more solar panel capacity to be connected, helping increase solar production during mornings, afternoons and lower-irradiance conditions. (Solax Power)
The X1-VAST-10K incorporates four independent MPPT trackers with one PV string per MPPT.
This provides excellent design flexibility for large or complex rooftops where solar panels may be installed across different orientations.
PV specifications include:
20kWp recommended maximum PV array
4 independent MPPT trackers
1 string per MPPT
20A maximum input current per MPPT
25A maximum short-circuit current per MPPT
600V maximum PV input voltage
360V rated PV input voltage
40β560V operating range
Low 50V startup voltage
Β
The X1-VAST features dual battery connections designed to provide greater flexibility when building or expanding a home battery system.
Battery specifications include:
Lithium battery compatible
80β480V DC battery voltage range
Dual battery ports
25A per port when two separate batteries are connected
30A maximum when using one battery port
Up to 50A when both ports are connected to one battery through the optional 2-in-1 splitter cable
Β
This dual-port architecture makes the X1-VAST-10K particularly attractive for larger battery storage installations.
When paired with compatible battery storage, the X1-VAST-10K provides powerful EPS backup capability.
For Australia, rated EPS output is 9.999kVA, with the ability to provide up to twice the rated EPS power for 10 seconds. (Solax Power)
Backup features include:
9.999kVA rated EPS output for Australia
Up to 200% peak EPS output for 10 seconds
<10ms switchover
UPS-level backup transition
Whole-home load support
Generator and microgrid compatibility
Β
The X1-VAST is designed to integrate with microgrids and generators for more resilient energy systems.
This makes the 10kW model particularly suitable for larger homes seeking increased energy independence and more advanced backup configurations.
The X1-VAST platform is designed with future Vehicle-to-Home and Vehicle-to-Grid applications in mind.
SolaX identifies the inverter as V2G/V2H ready for smart home energy integration.
This creates the potential for an integrated energy ecosystem combining:
Solar PV β Home Battery β Home Loads β Compatible Bidirectional EV
V2H/V2G functionality is identified in the datasheet as a future-upgrade feature. Actual operation will depend on compatible EVs, bidirectional charging equipment, firmware and applicable Australian requirements.
The X1-VAST includes advanced smart energy functionality for managing solar production, battery storage and household loads.
Features include:
Smart Schedule
Smart Scene
24/7 Time-of-Use management
Wireless meter compatibility
Whole-home load support
VPP-ready architecture
OpenADR compatibility
IEEE 2030.5 compatibility
