Residential single-phase solar systems
Solar and low-voltage battery installations
Homes with high electricity consumption
Backup power applications
Properties with multiple PV orientations
Time-of-Use energy management
VPP and smart energy systems
Systems requiring future expansion
The Solis 8kW low-voltage hybrid inverter can be paired with the Sumray SR-LV14G modular battery to create a scalable residential storage system. The Sumray battery operates at 48V nominal voltage and communicates via CAN, aligning with the Solis inverterβs 40β60V low-voltage battery architecture and CAN communication support. Starting at approximately 13.92kWh usable capacity, the Sumray system can be expanded for households that need greater overnight storage, backup capacity or support for larger loads. Combined with the Solis inverterβs 8kW battery power, fast backup switching and smart energy management, the pairing offers a strong option for homes seeking greater energy independence without being limited to the lower power output common in many single-phase battery systems.
Up to 16kW recommended PV array size
2 independent MPPTs with 4 PV string inputs
Up to 32A PV input current per MPPT
40β60V low-voltage battery support
Up to 190A battery charge / discharge current
<10ms backup switching
200% backup overload for 10 seconds
AI-based Time-of-Use energy management
VPP and EMS platform integration
Parallel connection and AC coupling support
Integrated AFCI
Bluetooth app configuration
IP66 protection
The S6-EH1P8K-L-PLUS-AU supports up to 16kW of recommended PV capacity through two independent MPPTs and four PV string inputs. Each MPPT supports up to 32A input current, while the 90β435V MPPT operating range provides flexibility for residential PV design.
On the battery side, the inverter supports lithium-ion and lead-acid batteries from 40V to 60V, with up to 8kW charge/discharge power and 190A maximum current.
Backup switching takes less than 10ms, helping keep connected loads operating when the grid fails.
The inverter provides 8kW rated backup output and can reach up to twice its rated apparent power for 10 seconds, giving it additional capacity for short-duration starting loads such as air-conditioning, pumps and other high-demand appliances.
AI-based charging and discharging can respond to Time-of-Use electricity tariffs, helping shift battery use toward periods when grid electricity is more expensive.
Integration with VPP and EMS platforms adds further flexibility, while parallel connections and AC coupling provide options for expanding the system as household energy requirements grow.
